SUPERVISED INTERNSHIP · 2024
Where the drawing meets the workshop.
Electrical assembly, copper busbar fitting, and practical troubleshooting at Onur Elektrik.
Context
Two supervised placements at Onur Elektrik in 2024, documented as eight weeks in total. The work involved electrical-panel components, industrial sockets, copper busbars, cable management, and network troubleshooting.
My contribution
- Measured, cut, bent, and fitted copper busbars within modular panel constraints.
- Assisted with component assembly and checked cable lengths and physical fit under supervision.
- Helped trace a network fault to a defective cable, replace it, and organize the cabling.
Approach
Fit was an iterative task: check the available space, prepare the part, compare it with surrounding components, and revise bends where parts interfered. Troubleshooting also required following the physical connection, not assuming the fault from its symptoms.
- 01Measure
- 02Fit
- 03Check
- 04Revise
A bend changes the fit.
- 01Interference
- 02Revise the bend
- 03Check the fit
In the report, surrounding components constrained the busbar shape. Bends were revised and the part checked again against the available space. This schematic illustrates that sequence without reproducing workshop dimensions.
Learning
Assembly made dimensional constraints tangible. A component has to work with the parts around it; checking fit and keeping cables organized are part of that work.
